Several feared dead as explosion rocks Kano Central Mosque

Kano - Many Muslim faithfuls were feared dead as an explosion rocked the Kano Central Mosque in Kano State.

The victims were said to be Muslims who were in the mosque during the Friday Jumat service.

The Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi was suspected to be one of the targets as he normally leads the prayer service but was not around as the time of the explosion.

The number of casualties is yet unknown as many were said to be injured.
