WHY DO YOU DESPISE US

...............................................................................................................................................................
We elected you into office,
We stood in the scourging sun, rain to vote for you,
With our vote you were able to win your office,
You promise us greater future but now you despise us,
You step into your office and don’t even care about our plight,
When we are in queue in Banks, Offices, waiting there for hours, you entered and were given preferential treatment, went straight into the manager’s office to transact your business without stress.
When we apply for jobs we went for the interview waited for the interviewer and make sure we try our best to pass the interview but all you could do was to give a phone call to the interviewer that you have a candidate for the position.
When you make decision in the chambers, you conceded on things that are favorably to you, forgetting the needs of the people that elected you.
Your sitting allowance alone can change our life for a long time,
You sit in your air conditioned and bullet proof cars with so many comfort and convoy while we walk on our feet’s hoping and praying for a cup of garry to drink.
Even when you travel on our bad roads, we still give you way to pass if not your security and bodyguard will beat the hell out of us.
You send your children to the best schools in the world while you left our dilapidated schools here without good structures and infrastructure because to you it not worth it to spend money on school for the poor masses.
Strike has become a normal thing in our institutions because you have failed to meet and adhere to the needs of our lecturers knowing too well federal universities is our only hope to education.
We elected you to be our representative in the chamber,   but hardly do we see you among us in our gathering.
You are carried away with enriching yourself and your generation with comfort and  wealth forgetting the facts that we elected you to serve not to be served.
But REMEMBER , your promise before we elected you into that office,
REMEMBER how you campaign that you are going to give us CHANGE that will TRANSFORM our lives for the better.
Remember, we elected you to serve not to be served
Remember when the going become tough, we can revolt against you to take what is ours.
Never you forget that this is Naija where everything is possible

Diezani Alison-Madueke denies awarding $24bn oil swap deal without contract, says she will speak in due time

Former Minister for Petroleum resources, Diezani Alison Madueke has denied an allegation by former group managing director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Austen Oniwon, that she awarded $24 billion oil swap deals without a contract during her tenure as Petroleum Minister. Oniwon made the allegation when he appeared before the House of Representatives ad hoc committee on Petroleum resources.
In a statement released by her spokesperson, Clem Aguiyi today February 24th, Diezani denied the allegation and said she will speak in due time

“Following the recommendation of the then GMD of NNPC, the minister approved OPAs for a new term of 2 years commencing from 1st January 2015. The entities recommended by NNPC were Sahara Energy Resources Ltd, Aiteo Energy and Duke Oil. NNPC strongly recommended and outlined the benefits of the OPA over the SWAPs and put forward the case for migration from the OPA and crude exchange (SWAP) Contracts to OPAs fully. NNPC posited that the ‘experienced benefits of the OPA to the Federation’, would be much greater. There would have been little need to respond to this particular issue at this time considering that the former minister is still indisposed and would have wished to be left alone to recuperate. She will speak for herself in due time. It is nevertheless imperative that records are set straight so that Nigerians and posterity will know the truth. Mr. Oniwon was right when he stated that the 445000 barrels of crude oil were the property of NNPC, bought from the federal government of Nigeria at the prevailing rate and therefore as GMD, he did not need the Federal Executive Councillor Presidential Approval to enter into SWAP arrangements that will enable NNPC fulfill its statutory obligations. It was also correct that contrary to the picture being painted in the media, not more than 210,000 bpd out of the 445000 bpd lifted by NNPC to ensure adequate supply and distribution of petroleum products were traded under the SWAP arrangement. What the GMD required to execute the above was statutory approval from the minister for the companies! Refineries chosen by NNPC to participate in the SWAP arrangement as outlined in section 4 of the Petroleum Act and section 20 of the NNPC Act. It is however incorrect to say that the former minister gave ‘approval for extension’ unless ‘extension’ can legally be substituted for “renewal” because what the Minister gave (and the records are there) was approval for ‘renewal of contract’. And these approvals were given based on letters of request received from the GMD of NNPC.”the statement read.

Former Netherlands boss Guus Hiddink has been appointed interim Chelsea manager until the end of the season following the sacking of Jose Mourinho.

The 69-year-old also managed the Blues on a temporary basis for the final three months of the 2008-09 campaign.

"I am excited to return," said the Dutchman. "Chelsea is one of the biggest clubs in the world but is not where it should be at the moment. "However, I am sure we can all turn this season around."

Mourinho was sacked on Thursday with champions Chelsea 16th in the Premier League table, one point above the relegation zone.

Hiddink watched Saturday's visit of Sunderland from the stands, sat next to Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich and former Blues striker Didier Drogba.

Prophet TB Joshua’s Daughter, Serah Called to the Bar

Serah Oyindamola Joshua, is the first daughter of Pastor T.B. Joshua. She was called to the Bar this week in Nigeria having successfully completed the September 2015 Bar Final Examinations at the Nigerian Law School. In an exclusive interview with The Guardian, Serah revealed that she will also be called to the bar in New York in January, having passed final examinations in November.
“I’m grateful to God, my family and friends, who have been of help to me. I am humbled and privileged to have succeeded. I am privileged and fortunate to be the daughter of such a humble and great man of God called TB Joshua. He is someone I look up to because my father is a man of God and he has been able to guide me every time I need him. I am so humbled to be his daughter. He has been a good guide. Thus, I can’t afford to disappoint him and God, because to whom much is given, much is expected.” Serah told The Guardian

How does she react to comments about her father? She says,

“He is a true example of humility. I have seen so many character traits in him that are worthy to emulate. As a father, he is the best father anybody can pray to have. I am not just saying that because he is my father; this is just the truth. Also, it’s not what I think about him or what people think about him that counts but what God says about him.” She adds, “That’s why I said he is a true man of God and it’s not what people say that counts but what God says. Everybody has the right to air his or her opinion but God’s opinion counts most.

Congratulations !!
